| Description | Harold Mitchell is the Executive Chairman of Mitchell Communications Group Limited, the largest media agency in Australia. In addition to this position he is the Chairman of CARE Australia, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Art Exhibitions Australia, ThoroughVision, and Melbourne Rebels Rugby. He is also a Director of Tennis Australia, Television Sydney, Deakin Foundation, the Melbourne Recital Centre and Committee Member of the Grattan Institute’s Public Policy Committee. In January 2004 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for his services as a benefactor and fundraiser in support of artistic and cultural endeavours. In 2005 he received the Richard Pratt Business Leadership Award from the Australia Business Arts Foundation in recognition of his exceptional contribution to Australian cultural life.
